FO Friday: Seaside shawl

Today I'd like to show you a project that has been finished for a bit and that I have used through the summer. It was blocked when I first finished it, and it did give it a really nice finish.

I got the box right before we went on holiday, and it was a perfect project to bring along. It is made with the technique called filet crochet, and as soon as I got to grips with how to read and use the diagram I was flying :)

The design is a gorgeous anchor and because of the filet crochet the shawl is light and airy and perfect for summer.
I usually don't finish projects very quickly, but I finished the shawl in 17 days, which almost is a record for me.

The kit did come with a little anchor to attach to the bottom of the shawl, but I haven't attached it yet. It is a cute addition, but I don't know if I think the shawl needs it.
The kit also came with a clothes plaster, and isn't it cute? I have no idea what to use it for yet, but I think it's adorable!

I love this project, and I am so happy I started subscribing to the Little Box of Crochet. I make projects I wouldn't do otherwise, and I'm learning new techniques as well!
